Fentanyl
The CDC’s National Center for Health Statistics has reported an estimated 107,622 deaths from drug overdoses in the United States during 2021. In addition, several states have recorded unusually high drug overdoses among young people, such as West Virginia, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Tennessee.
As a country, we have not been able to slow the smuggling or address the growing use of Fentanyl.
